User Data Deletion Policy
User Data Deletion Policy
Effective Date: 10 October 2025
Last Updated: 10 October 2025
1. Overview
Queens of Pole Shop (operated by NS Witney Pty Ltd) values the privacy and security of your personal data. This User Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request the deletion of personal information collected through our Shopify Meta App and how we process such requests.
Our app may collect limited customer and shop data via the Shopify API to enable its core functions. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties, except as required to provide services or comply with legal obligations.
2. Types of Data Collected
Depending on the app’s functionality, we may collect and temporarily store the following data through Shopify’s API:
- Shop Information (e.g., shop name, domain, contact email)
- Customer Information (e.g., name, email, address — only where needed for order fulfilment)
- Order Data (e.g., order numbers, product details, billing/shipping information)
- App Usage Data (e.g., settings, preferences, and analytics to improve functionality)
All data is stored securely and only retained as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Deletion Requests
You may request the deletion of personal data at any time by contacting us at:
Email: admin@queensofpole.com
Alternatively, Shopify store owners can uninstall the app, which will automatically trigger Shopify’s data erasure webhook. Once received, we will remove or anonymise all personal data associated with the shop within 30 days, unless retention is legally required.
4. Automatic Deletion Upon App Uninstallation
When a Shopify merchant uninstalls our app:
- We receive a
shop/redact
webhook from Shopify. - All related personal data (shop, customer, and order information) stored in our systems is permanently deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
- Logs required for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes are retained securely in accordance with applicable laws.
5. Third-Party Services
If the app integrates with any third-party service providers, we ensure they meet appropriate data protection standards. Any data shared with third parties is deleted or anonymised in line with this policy once the deletion process is initiated.
6. Legal Retention Requirements
Certain records may be retained if required by law (e.g., tax records, fraud prevention logs). In these cases, the data will be securely stored and isolated from normal business operations until the retention period ends, after which it will be permanently deleted.
